The Avoidance Rate: According to the American Psychiatric Association (APA), more than half of all people with mental health conditions do not seek help for their disorders. The APA notes that individuals frequently avoid or delay treatment due to fears of being treated differently, judged, or facing discrimination in their personal and professional lives.
